A rapid response to support supply-chain continuity

This manufacturing facility plays a crucial role in supporting major supermarket chains across the UK. As part of the site’s ongoing refurbishment, key upgrades to the mains power supply required a three-day mains outage, however halting production was not an option for the client. The short notice added to the complexity of the project.

A reliable, seamless, and fast solution was needed to ensure that production would be uninterrupted throughout the outage. To address this urgent challenge, we deployed a 6 MVA temporary power package designed to meet the power needs of the entire facility during the three-day outage.

The entire power solution was sourced, transported, and delivered to the site within the required timeframe, ensuring there were no delays in the process.

Our skilled team completed the installation, ensuring that all components were set up in compliance with safety standards. The installation process was fast and efficient, minimising any downtime during the transition.

Once installed, the entire system was rigorously tested to ensure the temporary power system would seamlessly integrate with the site’s operations. Our engineers provided on-site support, assisting with troubleshooting and ensuring the power system was fully operational.

During the power outage, we provided continuous fuel management, ensuring a constant and reliable supply of fuel to maintain the 6 MVA system. Our team monitored fuel levels, arranged refuelling, and ensured that operations ran smoothly.

The temporary power solution successfully kept the facility operational during the three-day mains outage. The project was completed on time and without incident, with no disruption to the production line or supply chain commitments.  Our ability to mobilise a complete power solution on extremely short notice, combined with our ongoing engineering support, ensured that the client’s operations continued smoothly.
