A bespoke solution for a high-end residential building

A high-end, landmark serviced residential building in Gibraltar was given a custom solution after we received a request for a 220kVA standby generator.

The luxury apartments, located in Gibraltar’s famous Ocean Village marina resort, needed a standby generator to provide back-up to essential services in the event of a mains power failure. This has typically been a major problem in Gibraltar due to the geographical location.

The generator was custom built to the building’s specific requirements. It included a bespoke acoustic canopy and lift-off doors due to the site’s space restrictions.

The generator would be based in an underground car park and had restricted ventilation. In response, we installed airflow ductwork to enable the engine to run properly. We were also responsible for the full installation and commissioning.
