Boosting the capacity of World Trade Centre Gibraltar
When World Trade Centre (WTC) Gibraltar needed to increase its standby power generation capacity due to a change in use of part of the complex, we were on site to support the project.
WTC Gibraltar was constructed to represent the pinnacle of international trade and business; it is part of a family of over 323 WTCs in 88 countries around the world. As a high-profile complex, it is home to some of the most recognised global multinationals.
As part of this install, we integrated 2 x HIMOINSA HDW-750 (750kVA) standby generators with the building’s existing standby power plant.
Due to the lack of space on site, we installed the generators by skating them into position via the underground car park, through the rear of the building’s structure. Due to the complexity of the install, our engineers were responsible for the full commissioning and control philosophy.
All noise attenuation, air flow and exhaust flue works were also completed by our engineers during the install.
