Collaborating to support a crucial Spanish supply route

A leading European ship management company asked us to deliver a containerised offshore 1250kVA, 380v 50Hz rental generator with associated cabling and a bulk fuel tank to Barcelona. It would support the RoRo ferry Superfast Levante, a vessel serving a crucial supply route between Barcelona and the Balearic Islands.

The generator, along with 1.5km of temporary cabling and control systems, was installed on the ship as a standby emergency power unit while the vessel’s own standby generator was undergoing a major overhaul. Our team of commissioning engineers collaborated with the vessel’s engineering team to carry out the work.

The generator remained on board for nine months while the repairs and associated upgrades were carried out.
