National support for a high-speed internet provider
A national high-speed internet provider was installing new masts to expand on their network, as part of a push to connect rural communities. We were awarded a contract to supply, deliver and commission 14 x 15kVA standby emergency generators to support the ongoing connectivity of the sites in the event of a mains failure.
Due to the remote nature of many of the masts, each site provided its own unique logistical challenges. As several of the sites were only accessible on hilltops via 25%+ inclines, off road, we employed our specialist off-road crane equipped vehicles to offload and position the equipment, while our installation and commissioning engineers used ATV buggies to access the sites.
Remote communications modules were installed on all of the generators, to allow 24/7 monitoring of the remote sites and ensuring uptime in the event of a power failure.
