Planned power outage support during a factory relocation
As part of a factory relocation, a glass manufacturer experienced a shortage of mains supply and required temporary power to the site until the grid connection was upgraded.
We provided an 1800kVA 11kV package, alongside 2 x 100kVA and 1 x 60kVA 400V generators for auxillary site power, with temporary site cabling and distrubution.
With the main plant, we supplied the 1800kVA prime power generator with a 400V-11kV step-up transformer, and associated LV and MV cabling. As the generator was the prime power source for the factory, an 18,000L bulk fuel tank with our full remote monitoring service was also installed on site.
Once the plant was up and running, we installed an additional 1800kVA generator to create a 3600kVA 11kV power package, which was required until the mains upgrade was completed.
We provided the power for the site over several months, until the grid connection upgrade had been carried out.
