Providing critical cover for an NHS distribution centre

At the outbreak of COVID-19 in the UK, hospitals and distribution centres throughout the country sourced emergency additional power. This would ensure they had capacity to deal with a sharp rise in patient demand.

Responding to an urgent enquiry from an NHS distribution centre, we supplied a back-up generator to safeguard the site’s power supply. The generator would run the 147,000 sq ft site in the event of a mains power failure. Without this contingency, the site would not be operational in the event of a power failure.

We supplied a silent 800kVA standby generator to support the site, housed in an acoustic 20ft container. Full commissioning was also supplied to ensure the generator was installed and set up correctly.
