Reaching a remote location to power an off-grid Cotswold farm

When a remote, off-grid Cotswold farm wanted prime power support, they contacted us.

Working closely with the farm manager to determine the most efficient way to power the farm buildings, we supplied a 35kVA generator and a 60kWhrs energy storage system. As a busy livestock farm, the site needed 24/7 power, but with significantly lower night loads. The energy storage system was selected to ensure that silent, emission-free power could be supplied overnight, while the generator would automatically start to supply the required output during the day when the demand for power is significantly higher.

Located down a narrow, uneven country road, we deployed 4×4 vehicles from our in-house transport fleet to ensure we could efficiently reach the farm and offload the generator.
