Recently, we supplied a new Scania-powered 330kVA standby generator to a new build Amazon distribution centre to back up their essential building supplies.

We worked alongside the customer to determine the most suitable specification for the generator, which needed to include a 24h integral fuel tank and BMS integration along with many other bespoke features.

Prior to handover, we performed a 6-hour SAT (Site Acceptance Test) on site. The rigorous testing regime incorporates a number of scenarios – from a 110% loadbank test, to multiple step load tests to check performance of the generator – in order to check that the engine is able to perform at the required power output needed in an emergency. All testing was carried out by our Commissioning Engineers, using our resistive/ reactive loadbanks.
